Mayor London Breed and Public Health Director Grant Colfax announced that starting today - Monday, April 20 - all San Franciscans will be required to wear face coverings when they leave the house.

I support their decision, as it helps reduce the risk of infection, and it's one of many important steps we'll need to take to transition out of our current shelter in place order.

I want to encourage you to comply with the new order. That's why I'm teaming up with San Francisco drag queen legends Sister Roma, Peaches Christ, Bebe Sweetbriar, and Donna Sachet to judge the inaugural Masks Are Fierce quarantine fashion competition!

According to San Francisco's new policy, face coverings can be "a manufactured or homemade mask, a bandanna, scarf, towel, neck gaiter, or similar item." So get creative! Serve up some looks for our drag queen panel while doing your part to slow the spread of the virus.
