Assemblyman Steven Choi, District Update

Students continue to have access to healthy meals as public schools are closed to help curb the spread of COVID-19. School districts that help comprise the 68th Assembly District are offering free grab-and-go meals to any student 18 years and younger. Most districts are offering these meals regardless of where they go to school. Below are school districts offering these healthy meals:

Anaheim Elementary School District

SCHOOLS CLOSED: March 16-April 17
GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Open to all children 18 years and under. No paperwork or sign-ups necessary.
TIMES: 11 a.m. to noon
LOCATIONS: Katella High, 2200 E. Wagner Ave., Anaheim; Anaheim High, 811 W. Lincoln Ave., Anaheim; Sycamore Junior High, 1801 E Sycamore St., Anaheim; Loara High, 1765 West Cerritos, Anaheim; Brookhurst Junior High, 601 N. Brookhurst St., Anaheim.

Anaheim Union High School District

SCHOOLS CLOSED: March 16-27
GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Open to all children 18 years and under. No paperwork or sign-ups necessary.
TIMES: 11 a.m. to noon
LOCATIONS: Katella High, Anaheim High, Sycamore Junior High, Loara High, Brookhurst Junior High, Western High, Kennedy High, Ponderosa Elementary.

Irvine Unified School District

SCHOOLS CLOSED: March 16 to April 6 (anticipated)
GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Lunches offered to all IUSD students.
TIMES: 11 am. to 1 p.m.
LOCATIONS: Cadence Park, Cypress Village Elementary, Northwood Elementary, Venado Middle, Oak Creek Elementary, Southlake Middle, Culverdate Elementary, University Park Elementary.

Orange Unified School District

SCHOOLS CLOSED: March 16 to April 3
GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Breakfast and lunch offered. Parents with students IDs or ID numbers can pickup meals.
TIMES: Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m., lunch from 10 a.m. to noon.
LOCATIONS: Handy Elementary, California Elementary, Esplanade Elementary, Taft Elementary, Yorba Elementary, Lampson Elementary, Portola Elementary, Orange High, El Modena High and Canyon High. (Canyon will not provide food services March 18-20.) Also bus feeding site at Bristol Street and Memory Lane from 10 a.m. to noon (lunch).

Saddleback Valley Unified School District

SCHOOLS CLOSED: March 16-April 10
GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Take-away lunches are available, free of charge, for all children 18 years old and younger - the child must be present - as well as special needs adults up to age 23.
TIMES: Noon to 1 p.m.
LOCATIONS: El Toro High, 25255 Toledo Way, Lake Forest; Laguna Hills High, 25401 Paseo De Valencia, Laguna Hills; Mission Viejo High, 25025 Chrisanta Drive, Mission Viejo; Trabuco Hills High, 27501 Mustang Run, Mission Viejo; District Nutrition Services, 25566 Peter A. Hartman Way, Mission Viejo.

Tustin Unified School District

SCHOOLS CLOSED: March 23 to April 10
GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: TUSD will distribute lunch - and breakfast for the next morning - to all children under 18 at three different school sites from March 23 to April 10. Per federal law, children must be present.
TIMES: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
LOCATIONS: Heideman Elementary, Currie Middle and Tustin High
