Help Us Save Lives by Supporting a Requirement for
Indoor Locks in Older Schools
Support Assembly Bill 3205, an effort by Assemblymember Patrick O'Donnell to require school districts to install indoor classroom locks in older schools. Schools built after 2012 are already required to have locks that lock from the inside of the classroom. The majority of California school buildings are more than 25 years old. In the event of a campus emergency, teachers in schools without indoor locks must go outside to lock their doors, leaving them vulnerable to threats or attacks.
