Dear Senator:
I am a constituent in the 64th Assembly District of California.  More importantly, I am a beneficiary and strong supporter of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), known as Obamacare.
Thanks to Obamacare, Covered California has been able to insure millions of Californians with comprehensive, affordable health coverage that does not discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions, and allows more people than ever access to a doctor. Roughly 1 in 6 Californians benefit from the PPACA.
A few weeks ago, Republicans in Congress voted to end Obamacare as we know it with no viable replacement. To make matters worse, the Republicans are now ramming through a healthcare plan that would give the wealthiest Americans a $300 billion tax break over 10 years.  This includes specific benefits for drug companies and health industry executives.  As a Californian, we can’t afford this. Going back to the days where healthcare is a luxury instead of a human right is colossally reckless.
This is why I am strongly urging YOU to reject any proposal that seeks to threaten or undermine Obamacare, and jeopardize 5 million Californians from receiving quality healthcare that we depend on.
Thank you for your time and please be assured I will be watching your vote very closely.
